One year under our belt once again, and what a way to complete 2005! Russell Bledsoe sat in the studio today. After some talk about his upcoming award opportunity the guys covered this weekends football picks. Then it was an anything goes show, including calls from the crazy guys, Samantha, Big Steve, Beau and oh yes George. Happy New Year everyone!

Shit, lost today's episode due to too much shit running at the same time. I did post a audio blog today explaining how I lost todays recording. Good news though, the streaming feature works as well as the studio cam at H2OMedia.com The Streaming link is:

We have a celebrity sighting at the Salmon Run Mall. Of all people, it's America's prettiest Italian brothers, the Gotti Boys! Somehow they got out of their Cadillac and walked inside the mall, not entirely confirmed by the way. Other stories today included Glenn's father who just installed his own satellite service. Victor chined in too about the 'Beautiful Music' format on his own XM satellite. One last item, Bacon's girl called and said she has the 'stuff' he wanted!

Look at what's hot on channel 7, the Ellen Degeneras Show! It seems no matter what channel 7 airs, it becomes the number one program in that timeslot. Good calls today, including one referring to the arrest of illegal aliens in Lewis County. Glenn thinks they're the only people who will actually work in a farm. Ironically, Samantha called a the end to let Glenn know she has allergies and could never work on a farm.

Who else had a 'live' radio show today other than Glenn on his 'Live at Five Show'? No one! Anyway, a light-hearted show today, with several callers serving their Christmas experiences this weekend. Including the 'Duff', Crazy Ray, Concerned Citizen and Big Steve. Samantha called and actually ended the conversation when Glenn was acting a bit weird. Oh, check out the video on the Blogger from Glenn's Christmas!

I had a blast taking video of Christmas day at the house. Sharon once again out did herself with an awesome display of Christmas decor. Rained throughout the day though, making it somewhat sloppy on the Thompson Park hill. Merry Merry from Glenn, Sharon and Marliese all seen here in this 2:30 minute presentation.

It's the last show before Christmas and all through the house, not a sound about City Hall, not even a word about Jeff the louse. Have a great Christmas and enjoy today's show with Beau, Dan, Concerned Citizen, Border request calls and oh yes, Cashier Tom in the studio.

Tired, tired, why am I so tired. In addition to being so tired, are you as tired of the pay raise issue at City Hall as I am or what? Anyway, the discussion continues. But there was more to today's show than that, including Glenn's idea of our growing traffic problems on Arsenal and Coffeen Streets. Several callers chimed in with a live traffic report.

Wow, what crappy weather, but it was warm and dry inside the AM1240 studio today, as always! Glenn's brother Kevin called today to follow up on yesterday's birthday calls. Much was discussed regarding Johnny Damon and other Yankees for the 2006 season. Oz and Ezra came in, while Glenn talked about the new FCC forms that make it easier to oust a radio personality for obsenties.

What can I say? Not only was it my birthday today, but it was also a 'Surprise Showday' as well. Several family calls today including my brother Brian and Kevin (Kevin couldn't get through though). Mom and Dad called with their rendition of Happy Birthday at the end. Of course, in between all this Glenn debated the City Hall pay increase and President Bush's right to tap into anyone's life who is a threat to our free world. One of the more eclectic shows in a long time!

Simple show today, after Glenn talked highly about the new King Kong movie, he went off on a recent Albany article about a 17 year refugee from New Orleans. Seems our new friend had his choice of many neighborhood women, too bad they were underage. After that it was one call after another including a Mel Busler and Beth Hall quiz with a caller who won a gift certificate.

It's a sing along show with Glenn and his bullhorn today. Ruff ruff ruff, ruff ruff ruff, ruff ruff ruff, RUFF RUFF. Stern is off the free radio dial, and now it's off to four letter words that start with s, f and C. That will get old real fast. Usual callers today, including Samantha, Adams Center Dude and George. Some guy made a big deal about a broken kettle at the mall. Plus, Glenn tried to get some juicy Christmas party stories, but only managed to talk about his friend who had a sexual affair with a 38 year old woman when he was only 15. Have a great weekend!

Today's show began with Glenn's rant about Arcade Street and how dangerous it is without a street light directing traffic! Good response from this topic throughout the show. Then Cashier Tom came in to put us back online for streaming! Remember, tomorrow's show will be live from the historic Paddock Arcade!

Look who won this year's Shapiro Award, our own Dave Mance! Good going! We followed up last night's execution of 'Tookie' Williams on today's show, as well as a discussion about the trend to t take Christ out of Christmas. Good show, very strong opinions from our so-called host regarding 'Political Correctness' and the left-sided views we get from the media. Also, Glenn hates self-serve gas stations, over-packaging and channel 7's lazy approach to Christmas Greetings.

Glenn sat in for Jeff Gragham and had fun with several issues, including a good impersonation of Governor Arnold of California. It will be a (2) for Tuesday again on AM1240!

Here is an AVI version of both High Life TV spots in one single player file. I'm experimenting with (2) video formats, like this one an AVI, the other, an advanced DV format from my i-Movie. Like the 'High Life Dancer 2' spot I posted this past Sunday, the much clearer DV spot started off over 122 mgs, but looks great despite the fact it has been compressed to 1.36 mg on this Blog post. It's incredible how much data you can upload and get a much smaller file that looks better than the AVI version ('Dancer 1' spot, and this post). It did take an hour though.

When it comes right down to it, despite which side you take, wouldn't life be easier without a death penalty. Why give the enraged a reason to react if their hero is executed tomorrow. This west-coast story was the underlying issue today, as well as a great call with the 'Concerned Citizen' regarding both 'Scarface' movies. Plus, Glenn taked about last Friday's office parties. Seems Glenn celebrated a bit too much. Not in college anymore! Sorry for the delay, someone took out all the history on the computer.

Here's the second of two dance spots for the High Life. Bill Approved!

Here's the last of Glenn's 3 High Life spots. Once again, it's our local dancer with the smooth moves.

It's computer day with Dave Little from JJ Stocker. However, the Mance radio mall needed Dave's expertise today when Canada called to inform Glenn that Kix 102.7 was off the air! So, Dave spent a good deal of the show working instead of answering phone calls and inquiries about computers. Glenn held the fort down however, making today's show a pleasant one at best. Now, it's off to our Christmas party!

It's December 8th, 2005, where were you 25 years ago? Imagine if Lennon was still alive today, he would have been 65 years old. Today, we had the much anticipated interview between Glenn Russert (Curry) and Paul Simmons. Paul is on a crusade to diminish the chances of a pay increase at City Hall. Callers knew Paul was coming, and for the most part, agreed with his cause. We'll have to see what happens on December 19th, when council votes on the issue. By the way, the internet is back!

Look who's gonna be on the show tomorrow, Mr. Paul Simmons! That's right, today's show stirred some response about the 'city-raise' issue. New 'stirring' issues came out today as well, including Crazy Ray's crow theory, Christmas carrols over the bull horn, and the usual stuff on today's very entertaining show. Sorry for the problems lately with the Blog, Westelcom still hasn't come through. Glenn made comparrisons between the original and re-made version of 'Scarface'. The original was released in 1932 and remade in 1982. Both were classics in their day, and had many similarities from scene to scene. It would be awesome if a network like AMC could compare the two and make a show of it.

It looks like a December day...a Friday to praise 'Facial Replacement' surgery, question re-structured ferry boats and Oprah's appearance on Letterman last night. Plus Glenn speaks with a father about his request for a song called 'My Hump' Beau from the High Life called too, follwed by Glenn's promotion of local porn-star Savannah Sampson. Bacon agrees, Sampson is tops. Have a good weekend!

To be a DANC or not to be a DANC, that is the question. Of course, this issue is never going to go away, but maybe, just maybe, someone can reasonably explain why a landfill isn't as dangerous as it may appear. The 'Lovely Sharon' came in to add flavor to the mix. A good show had by all, including all the Duffs, Crazy Ray and George. Internet is coming next week! Hurray for tecnology in the new century!
