Can you believe it? Imus is OUT! This predicted news alert happened minutes prior to today's show, so it was hot off the press. Glenn tenderly disected the latest chapter to this story the best he could, or allowed to. Interesting, the Duke case was resolved just yesterday too. Oh, a new caller chimed in about this weekend's 'Home Show'. She asked why should one pay $5 to buy things? She also admitted that she turns off Glenn's show when he starts singing. Good stuff! We'll be on the 'road' tomorrow at the same 'Home Show' listen and see how that goes this weekend!

What can you say, the Imus thing is big for a reason, that's why Glenn actually dragged the latest 'racial-divide' story back to the show. In between of course, it was all Sanjaya and a tale from the Sackets Harbor Lady who remembered an old boyfriend who sang a latino song in '46. Good stuff throughout the show!

Who listens to Imus anyway? This was just one of many burning questions Glenn offered today. After a slight snafu with the microphones, things took off with the Imus thing, except Glenn kept it as local as possible. In fact, the Imus story is a radio story, thus giving Glenn plenty to add especially when Jim Leven stepped in a the end of today's show.

We went from Deliverance trivia and what to do with our County Jail. Glenn, for some reason discussed the author of Deliverance, scenes from Deliverance and noted stories of the author James Dickey throughout the entire show today. Good stuff, despite the fact that both stories had nothing to do with each other. That's the beauty of the 'Live at Five' show.

Call in, give us some ideas, more importantly listen to some good 'local' entertainment. Good idea from 'Brooklyn Joe' who thought Glenn should have listeners guess which movies are in the show's intro. From there it was one call after another, including more senseless information from Samantha, a good call from Dan the Dem who spoke about his late brother's scripts. Some taxation talk again today, plus some discussion about the 'Town Clock' on Public Square.

Let's be honest, if people are upset with the 'tech' difficulties, let them speak out. Oh well, just another problematic day in the studio, but many reasons to listen to today's show. Good conversations too with 'Dan the Dem' and 'Tami'. Tami acted as Glenn the host, as Glenn reported a biblical sighting through a bad phone line. Also, a former Watertown native gave his thoughts of last Thursday's show from Orlando. Good stuff!
